Whitecliff sits down towards the water of Parkstone Bay, below Ashley Cross, on the B3369 Sandbanks Road, bordered by Turks Lane and the familiar Boat Yard and Parkstone Yacht Club. After a busy morning in the park the local landmark, Coast awaits serving refreshments and general cool vibes. So, by car either along the coast via Lillput or up Pottery Road past Baden-Powell School and come out on Bournemouth Road. Free parking’s waiting for you at the clinic end, on site and on the drive. Whitecliff is the outdoors and offers wide open spaces with beautiful views. Whitecliff Park itself sees amateur football every weekend, a steady stream of cyclists on the new paths and youngsters use the skate park ramp at Baiter Park, so sprains and overuse strains are common. Sailors and boat enthusiasts from Parkstone Yacht Club make up a distinct group too, with the repetitive shoulder and lower-back load that comes with regular sailing. It’s a family-heavy area, young and middle-aged families drawn by the open space and the harbourside walk that takes you through to Poole Quay and so as a chiropractor in Whitecliff I see the usual wide range of general aches that come with an active outdoor life alongside the sport-specific ones.
I’m Leslie Budzynski, a GCC-registered chiropractor (No. 00043) and BCA member (No. 0072) with 39 years of clinical experience. I qualified from what’s now Health Sciences University (then AECC) in 1987 and ran my own clinic and satellite practices in London for thirteen years before moving back to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth Chiropractic is a single-practitioner clinic so that means that I see and treat every patient myself, at every appointment, from your first visit through every review. There are no associates or locums, so there’s no variability in who you see or how you’re treated. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am–6pm, and Saturdays 7.30am–3pm, with early slots for people fitting this around work.
I charge a flat fee for chiropractic treatment regardless of what is wrong: £75 for the first appointment, which includes the consultation, examination and initial treatment, then £65 for every follow-up. You’ll know the cost before you book.
You can book when you need to, I can usually accomadate appointments within 28 hours or less, that is my goal. Just call or message the clinic as soon as you know if you need to cancel or alter your appointment and I’ll get you rebooked. With a 48-hour turnaround on new appointments, finding another slot is usually easy.
I do ask for 24 hours for a cancellation to avoid a charge though or slots get wasted when others may be waiting. So just keep in touch and try to give me as much notice as you possibly can to help keep things efficient.
Allow 45 minutes or so for the first chiropractic visit because I take a full medical history and conduct your examination of the injury or area of pain and then the subsequent visits are slightly shorter, about 30 minutes approximately depending on what you need. More details about your first visit and times and costs are covered in my blog posts.
Yes I can help with strains and sprains and most sports injuries. Amateur football brings a steady stream of ankle, knee and lower-back strains through my door. Seeking chiropractic treatment is an important way to ‘stay in the game’, literally, and especially when the same injury keeps recurring. That kind of repeat sporting strain usually has a mechanical cause behind it, which is what I focus on rather than just treating the latest flare-up.
