Opening Hours at Bournemouth Chiropractic during the Christmas and New Year Period
We stay open throughout the Christmas and New Year period with the exception of the public holidays themselves. Like most businesses, this means we close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day and resume normal hours on all other days including the days which stretch in between at Christmas.
We know that Christmas can be hard on the body. Long drives, sleeping in unfamiliar beds, hours on the sofa watching the telly or hunched over the Monopoly board. Alongside this there’s the socialising, enthusiastic last minute gift-wrapping sessions and the annual battle with a heavy roasting tin containing a large bird ultimately which all add up and can take their toll.
We are here if you need us. If you find yourself in difficulty over the festive period, give us a call and we will do our best to fit you in.
Specific dates for the current year’s Christmas closure will be posted here and we will confirm the opening hours at Bournemouth Chiropractic well in advance on our social media pages, so it is worth checking back in December. If in any doubt, call ahead.

Bank holidays throughout the year
England observes eight permanent bank holidays each year. As a general rule, we are closed on bank holidays and then open as normal on all other days. The standard UK bank holidays are:
New Year’s Day (1 January), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Early May Bank Holiday (first Monday in May), Spring Bank Holiday (last Monday in May), Summer Bank Holiday (last Monday in August), Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December). That’s a lot to remember and don’t they just seem to fly by in real life though.
When a bank holiday falls on a weekend, it is typically observed on the following Monday. If you are planning to book around a bank holiday, the safest approach is to check via the booking page or give us a call to confirm.
What to do in an urgent situation
If you are in pain and it is outside normal hours, call 01202 937568 and leave me a message. We will do our best to respond and where possible, arrange something outside of the usual schedule. Otherwise, I would advise phoning 111 for advice.
If you do come in then this blog post may be helpful for guidance on what a first appointment involves, including what to bring and what to expect at your first chiropractic visit.
If you are still weighing up if chiropractic is right for you, our how it works page explains the process from start to finish. If you don’t want to read, then just pick up the phone and I’ll have a chat with you.
Looking for a gift for someone in pain?
Whilst we’re on the subject of Christmas, just to remind you that we provide gift vouchers for treatment, a prompt for someone you care about to get round to looking after themselves. Our chiropractic gift vouchers make a thoughtful and genuinely useful present at Christmas or for birthdays, particularly for anyone who has been putting off getting help with persistent pain or an injury.
